Great manual desk!

This is a terrific desk! I've been wanting a manual sit-stand desk for a while, and I wish I'd taken the plunge earlier. I have quite a heavy wood worktop on mine, and my large monitor on a stand that attaches to the back edge, but it doesn't feel unstable--my anglepoise style lamp that's attached to the edge does jiggle a bit when I'm typing and the desk is at full height, but it's not that big a deal. Changing heights with the crank is easy--takes a couple of seconds, and the crank is quite well built. I also put wheels on mine, which actually raises the minimum height a bit above where I want it, but otherwise is pretty useful and convenient.

Hi Emily, Many thanks for the great review. Really appreciate it. One quick tip. Castors will always add extra jiggle to a desk as the locks on the wheels have some play. If it is a bit annoying for you maybe run a test without the castors just to see the difference. Precision and quality

Just assembled my "Series 2 Manual Sit-stand desk frame Rectangular leg". Wow - this is a quality product - and delivered very quickly. Be aware that this is a heavy item but the packaging is extremely well though out and substantial. Everything's there, including pretty much all the tools you need - including substantial screws and bolts for the top you attach. You jut sneed a screwdriver (and maybe a drill if you're attaching your own top). Although it's not obvious on the original item description the handle does fold away neatly under the desk. Quite how you use the z-shaped storage holder for the handle isn't completely clear but it's easy enough to figure out how it's supposed to work. Oh and remember to make sure the driveshaft goes all the way through the non-handled gearbox or you'll find the 2nd leg doesn't go up or down. Brilliant, quality product.

Easy to use

I chose a manual frame over a motorised version mostly for the saving in price but also I was worried about what happens if the motors stop working. This desk is very easy to use and the handle for adjustiing the height fits neatly underneath the desk when not using it. I bought this frame to go with my own desk top, but have since ordered a replacement desk top from Gostand which is very good quailty. I would recommend purchasing from Gostand, they have good customer support and complete the order very quickly.

Perfect crafting table

I wish I had bought one of these years ago for my crafting. I've spent years hunched over my work and it has given me really rounded shoulders and I often stuggle with neck pain. I'm making a big effort to try improve my posture and straighten myself out, and buying this desk has been a positive step towards that. I also bought the castors for the feet, which have fitted on easily and have given me the freedom to move the desk around, its perfect.

Good value for money

Nice looking desk at a good price. It has good up and down functionality, the handle is very easy to use and I like that it detaches from the desk when you don't need it. I'm glad I bought this one.

Great desk

I bought the white frame and white desk top. My husband built it easily enough, and the handle mechanism works well. So far it seems very good quality and worth the money.

No regrets

This is the best purchase I have made in a long time. It has transformed my office - there is no way I would go back to sitting at a static desk ever again. I am truly amazed at how much more comfortable you are when your office desk is set at the correct height for your body, it has made a massive difference to my mood and I have a more positive outlook in regards to work.

Fantastic desk

I have just built my new desk and set it to my correct sitting position, the difference is unbelievable. Its only now that I'm sitting correctly that I realise how bad my sitting position really was before. I also bought the series 1 x task chair, it feels very supportive of my back and fits neatly under the desk when its set to my standing height. Im delighted with my new office set up.

10 out of 10 for customer service

Im so glad I spoke to the sales guy at Gostand before I purchased, I knew I wanted to buy a desk but wanted some reassurance about the returns policy. He was incredibly helpful and informative and was able to have my desk delivered on the specific day I had requested aswell. Thankfully I'm really pleased with the desk so havn't needed to return it. Since then I've also bought a monitor arm and CPU holder from Gostand too.

Yes the handle can also be fixed on the left hand side. If ordering pre-drilling or inserts we put them on both sides so you can choose. The instructions cover fitting left handed and right handed.

Hi. This is possible but the frame will not extend to much beyond 170cm. So you will have an overhang each side. Note also that the handle sits just inside the legs and the position is fixed by the legs so the handle will also be inboard of the left or right hand edge of the desk by approx 30cm. You can see an underneath shot of the handle arrangement on the product page of the manual desk. Hope this helps.

Hi. 120cmx80cm is the minimum desk-top size to fit the manual frame. 6ft 2ins is the maximum user height we recommend for this desk.So it would just work. A better choice for you would be the Advance Mini-me which takes smaller top sizes.
