Our Pro S2 standing desk is our range topping offer with additional refinement and features. This is a full commercial product that we have installed throughout the UK in multiple office environments. However we also offer it to retail customers and it has proven to be exceptionally durable and reliable since the model was released. The height adjustable desks can be configured with our standard range of tops and come with a rectangular leg section in three colours of powder coat. Main features are:

The desk has a height range of 640-1300mm. It can be loaded up to 120Kg.

Our desktops come in up to twelve (we are currently expanding our range) standard colours, four standard widths (120cm, 140cm, 160cm, 180cm) and a standard depth of 80cm. All of these are held in stock constantly.

Note: The standard desktops we sell are blank with no pilot holes drilled into them. We offer an optional service where we can pre-drill your desktop to match up exactly with the desk frame and accessories you have selected.

Great standing desk - recommended

A back injury from a few years ago means that sitting for prolonged periods of time causes me back pain that is almost instantly relieved once I stand up. I mostly work from home so I decided to purchase a sit/stand desk to get around this problem. Several days of research later took me to a Reddit post which in turn led me to Gostand. They have a fantastic website where you can configure a number of different options, some of which are unavailable via alternative suppliers of similar desks. I opted for a 180 x 80 Alaska work top with the Pro frame in grey. I also selected the threaded inserts, cable grommets, extension cable with 6 outlets and a 1200mm wire tray. These were ordered Tuesday and were delivered Friday. The desk arrived in three robust boxes, one for the legs, another for the wire tray & extension lead and the third was the desktop. I thought the top was likely to get chucked around by the carrier but it was so well packaged it was completely fine. Assembly of the desk was very simple; the instructions are well laid out and easy to follow. It comes complete with all the fixings some of which are not used depending on the accessories selected and configuration used. It’s built upside down (worktop face down) so position carefully to prevent damage to the surface. It’s heavy so help of another is needed to turn it over on to its legs. The wire tray is amazing at hiding all those unsightly cables. I spent a considerable amount of time making it was tidy underneath and the tray makes this very easy. I only have two ‘external’cables running to the wire tray – power and network. These are spiral wrapped into effectively one cable that looks neat and works at both heights. All the other cabling sits inside the wire tray which has a very convenient removable front panel. The threaded inserts and wire tray are a must. I would also suggest getting a desk bigger than you think you need.

Delighted with my first standing desk!

I really am over the moon with my Pro S2 desk! Ordered last Monday afternoon, it was dispatched Wednesday, and arrived here in Scotland on Friday morning. As for the desk itself, all components of the order arrived packaged up really well. Everything appears to be excellent quality and heavy/sturdy. The desk top I chose (dark oak) is gorgeous - looks and feels like real wood, not a veneer on MDF (although obviously it is light!). My only slight niggle would be that I wish the desktops were sold with a wider variety of thicknesses as this is much thinner than my previous desktop. It took my partner a few hours to put together (but he already had experience putting his own Pro S2 together 2 weeks prior!) and now I have been using it for a couple of days I really could not be happier! My main concern ordering a standing desk was that it would be really wobbly - and as someone who leans on their desk a lot, I was so relieved to see that this would not be the case with these desks! I was initially torn between one of those cheaper Flexispot desks, Jarvis or GoStand. My partner's sister had bought a desk from GoStand during lockdown and although the model she has is no longer made, she swore it was a fantastic desk and quality was excellent. She was of course right! I had also seen one or two comments about them on Reddit which also swayed us in GoStand's direction. So my partner got his first, and we could both see that these are going to be great for our needs. Obviously the proof of the pudding will be how long it lasts (and retains it's high quality), but based upon what I (we) have experienced so far I don't think we've anything to worry about. I would recommend this company and this desk in particular!

A solid desk that has changed how I work

I decided this year to buy myself a brand new desk but I was uncertain of what brand to go with, I wanted something solid, good looking and good quality which would last without breaking the bank. The Pro S2 has so far delivered on every front. I had wanted a darker finish but in retrospect the Alaska finish is actually really nice and suits me quite nicely, everything about the desk has felt well designed and well built right from the get-go. The assembly was made very easy thanks to the inserts already provided as well as clear instructions and organisation of parts in the bags provided. Since then I have found that I feel a lot more awake in the afternoons and I enjoy being able to choose how I want to use the desk at will. It has also handled the amount of equipment I dump on it without complaint. I have also added few additional accessories including a headphone hook which was very easy to screw in. It probably won't be the last addition I make. Loving it so far 👍

Solid desk

This is a nice desk. I went for the Tribeca Oak effect top, and was impressed with how natural it looks - no repeating patterns and the grooved texture matches the contours of the print, which I didn’t expect. I don’t have any other motorised desks to compare this with but the motors are smooth and are quiet enough that I have no concerns raising/lowering the desk at night when my toddler sleeps in the room next door. The legs are rock solid and reassuringly weighty. I’m 6’ 4” so have the desk set to 80cm for sitting and 129cm for standing. The desk is standing on medium pile carpet but is still stable at that height (very minor rock if I lean on it but nothing that concerns me). Opted for pre-drilled metal inserts so construction was very simple. Have been using my new desk for about a week now and I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying the ability to switch positions with ease - I’m doing it far more than I expected. I also thought the Bluetooth/app would be a complete gimmick but I find I’m using the app a lot to remind me to change positions. The app isn’t perfect but it’s a solid foundation that I hope they continue to develop.
